Dog days of summer are here, and the garden has undergone a complete transition since the first of the growing season. All of the watermelons are gone of course, and mostly things like beans are growing there now.
Only apples and grapes remain to be picked in the orchard, and I went ahead and picked this lone apple on one tree. Jude just sees it as something to throw into the air, and seems pretty happy about it.

Taz is in Jude's corner here. She picks up fallen apples to gnaw on, and runs away if she thinks we're after "her" apples.
My dogs would have caught the apple then eaten it. Doesn't Jude eat apples?
Stef - Jude thinks that anything you pickup from the ground is hers......Lol
Daphne - I gave Jude some apple, and she wasn't too excited about it. Kinda shocking, actually.....
Bradie gets at least one apple a day. Im not sure how that routine began, but we throw one to her each morning. She plays with it then settles down to eat it. Then once the trees begin dropping their fruit she eats as many as she can. I hope things are going well with your new job.
I can't believe she doesn't like apples. Oh well, I suppose that is a good thing. I have a fence around my garden to keep out the dogs because they think they are vegetarians. One of them even eats hot peppers. The bad thing now is that she realized she can jump the fence so every morning she has a tomato feast. Taller fence needed!
Good luck with your fall garden Jeff!
Another apple-eating dog! Now I know of at least two!
