Since Granny and Gingerbreadshouse7 couldn't help but notice the butternut squash in the background of recent harvest pictures (and apparently I have too much time on my hands), I couldn't help but dress them up a bit for a photo opportunity of their own. Ha!

I want to know who's who in that photo :)
Cute! I love your butternut squash. How many plants did you have this year?
how funny!
I might look like that 1st one after picking and trying to use all of mine.....
The fat one that's lying down with it's tongue hanging out looks like I feel today after all the canning of Pear Butter and Tomato sauce/soup.:o) The one with it's mouth wide open looks like Granny :o) hahaha.
That one in the front is EG after Ginny and I clobbered him!
LOL, they look like Shmoos!

You're a poopy-head :-D
Perfection!
Hehehe
Robin - well, I think it's best to let people decide for themselves. Lol.
Randomgardener - I had two plants
Japanese Redneck - I can't wait to see how many you get....
Ginny - I'll let you and granny decide which ones depict yourselves...LOL
Granny - I'll have to check out that link. Thanks for the poopyhead!
Ribbit and Jamie - thanks, i'm glad you liked it.....
Great picture! Made me laugh out loud for real!
Wow, what a teaser you are! ;)
Mrs. Pickles - I'm glad that you found it humorous!
Shawnann - oh, I can be a real stinker - just ask granny! Haha....
Ha, you're a riot EG!
Awwww . . . they look too cute to eat now! But, I'll bet you'll find a way to overcome that! :-)
And the one behind EG is Granny laughing.

My Life
I like it. This is my first year with butternut. Do you need to support them on a trellis or not? One of mine is getting large fast and I don't know if the vine will hold.
Mark - the squash themselves don't need to be supported, but the vine itself has to be supported where the stem to the fruit is to keep it from pinching it.
Hahahaha, hysterical.
I genuinely laughed out loud. Thanks for sharing that :)
