Tomato plants continue to do well in the swc's, and the Giant Oxheart has actually reached 9 feet tall already. The only plant to experience any problems so far is the Red Siberian growing in the yellow swp on the left. Due to my reluctance to prune it's heavy bottom growth at an early stage, it's gotten rootbound now....Oh well, another lesson learned I guess...
Photo below - here's a few Cherokee Purple waiting to turn ripe, and the one on the left has green shoulders due to some direct sun exposure and also high humidity as of late...That's ok, it'll still be just fine on a sandwich later...
Photos below - More varieties of tomatoes, although I really can't remember which ones these are from the pictures, themselves....Oops.
Photo below - more corn ready to harvest. Man, this is some good stuff.....
In other news, the storms that came thru yesterday did a number on the sub-par trellis used to support the tomato plants growing in the 34 gallon swc next to the corn. It was pretty difficult to deal with the 7ft. tall plants attached to it, but I finally managed to put things back together somewhat...
Also, beans and blueberries were added to the weekly harvest, and it's great to have something besides squash for a change. :)
Take care, and happy gardening
EG

Boy your tomato plants are huge! I have never had a tomato plant grow to be 9' high!
It sounds like your corn is doing well this year....enjoy your harvests!
Tomatoes look great!! Storms came through here, too. I'm waiting until it gets a bit lighter to go survey damage.
Things are looking good in your tomato patch. My tomatoes are much smaller than yours are (no big surprise). But I keep watching the CP tomatoes.
woa! Those are some tall and happy looking tomato plants! I love it!!
Your tomatoes look great, nice and big. Mine are growing, my Cherokee purples are coming along nicely too, none are as large as yours yet ..I'm just glad they are making it :o)..
Your tomatoes look great, mine are coming along but they are no where near as large as yours..I'm happy that they are growing at all :o)..That corn looks good too:o).
We got some desperately needed rain the past 2 days. My crepe myrtles were all sagging down to the ground. Hopefully the trunks will stand back up.
So much stuff! Your gardens always amaze me, especially since they're in a climate that would have me poleaxed.
Wow, they are lookin' good!
Those maters look good, even makes me want a tomato sandwich and I don't even eat tomatoes.
Holy heck, EG! That's quite a veggie forest you have there. I didn't think you could fit that much foliage into such a small amount of space. I sure the mix you have in your SWC's is very fertile.
Wow. Looks like your kitchen is about to be covered up in garden produce! Your garden looks great.
