Well, My wife has it now.....We went to the doctor today, and were treated at the same time. Pretty weird - but funny! We have the same prescription drugs and everything. He checked us for flu, and the test came back negative. However, he said that we could still have it. HUH? Instead, he diagnosed us with a viral infection of the upper respiratory system. Since it's very contagious, I can't get near anyone....Thanks everyone, for your words of encouragement. Probably the worst part of the illness, is the constant wheezing when I lie down. I also wake up drenched in sweat each morning. Weird....Anyway, me and the wife are gonna get some rest, and should be well in another day or two, hopefully.

Does this mean you really are going to rest?????
I just want to warn you that it requires real rest. Even when I thought I was over it and got it all coughed out, I started wheezing again. You are a lot younger than me but I found it wanted to regroup and hit again. Take care of you selves, both of you.
Feel better, EG!!!
I hope you both get well soon!
EG, wishing you and Mrs. EG a speedy recovery - G
Oh, that's miserable! Take care.
Hope you get better soon, nothing worse then being really ill. You need some homemade chicken soup with lots of veggies in it.
Hope you both feel better soon!!
Sounds horrid. I'm just getting over Viral Pleurisy and have also got Flu, it ain't nice!
Hope you feel better soon.

So sorry that you and your wife are sick. Take care of yourselves.
That sounds really bad. Get some rest. I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks, everyone. The wife seems much better today, but I feel the same....Rats. Thankfully, the fever has almost played out, with only a small amount as of this morning. I've been getting some adequate rest, with reading as my main past time. Of course, it's a good gardening book that was checked out from the library - what would you expect?
A knock on the door this morning revealed that my shredded leaves had arrived, and I gratiously directed them to the dump location. Man...talk about alot of shredded leaves! I'll have to tackle transporting them by wheelbarrow to the new bins once I get completely well.

You and the wife? Isn't that carrying togetherness a bit far?
Both of you hurry and get well. I just can't stand a wheezing EG ;-)
Get well soon, EG and Mrs. EG.
