I shot this video from the deck last Saturday - mainly to show you the turning of tree foliage has begun. BTW...my camcorder somehow alters the actual viewing picture so that things aren't in perspective. For instance, the shed looks pretty narrow, but is actually 8ft x 8ft x 8ft. In other words...things are bigger than they appear in my videos. Enjoy!

If those are ragweed, no wonder you're suffering. They are a wind-pollinated flower and you'll have trouble with allergies.
Jude is a sweetie. I miss "real" fall, although I love ours.
Stefaneener - I'll look that up, and see if it's indeed, ragweed. Thanks!
Hi EG, that looks like goldenrod to me, but hard to tell from video. I don't think goldenrod is allergenic. (Ragweed's foliage is quite distinctive. Check out the plant's leaf).
You're right - aspect ratio is off on video. It should be 16:9 not 4:3. You may want to fix that.
Always enjoy the vids. Keep 'em coming ! :)
Fall's my favorite season. Down with pastels!!! GWAR was a focus of my lesson today. The word of the day was 'mundane' and I said I bet a lot of mundane folk walked by the venue and wondered what in the *&() was going on. Hope you guys had fun.
That will be some retaining wall. Great view from your deck, doesn't get much better then that.
miss_m - Thanks for mentioning that about the aspect ratio. I know very little about those kinds of things, and checked it on my camera. It had 2 options, 4:3 and 16:9. Only thing is - it seemed to already be on 16:9. What would 4:3 do?
ribbit - that's funny! There were some very strange looking people there!
Dan - the retaining wall will be HUGE. I already dread it...
Hey EG, I assume you shot in 16:9 but video was converted to 4:3 in the transfer process (either from cam to comp or when upping to youtube). If your soft doesn't support 16:9, use 4:3 so ratio stays intact. Otherwise, specify widescreen when transferring.
miss m - thanks! Gosh, i'm sure glad you came back to read my comment. I'll see if I can fix that little problem...
Man that retaining wall is a job for a cat or bigger... doing it by hand is a job and a half for sure! Maybe in exchange for all the landscaping at the detention facility, they can lend you a work crew (just kidding).
Broccoli in October? I planted mine in June and won't get any this fall. I figure next year I'll start them inside in May and transplant in June or July.
Your yard looks better than mine. My kids idea of cleaning up is putting away one toy and taking out ten...
